Greek Tragedy in the Afternoon

Contributed by Greg Bostwick on 02/19/09

The students of the Styles of Acting class would like to invite you over to the house. The House of Atreus, that is.

On Tuesday, February 24, at 1:30 p.m. in the Clark Theatre of Dillingham Center, six acting majors will perform individual speeches by several characters from Greek tragedy. You will hear from Creon, Deianira, Electra, Helen, Medea and Orestes. They will also perform, as a group, one of the choruses from Sophocles' Antigone.

The presentation is free and will last for about 40 minutes.
