Ithaca College's men's and women's basketball teams have both earned the top seeds for this weekend's Empire 8 championship tournaments, which will be held in Ben Light Gymnasium.

The women's team (17-8, 13-3 Empire 8) will face fourth-seeded St. John Fisher at 6:00 p.m. in the first of Friday's semifinals, with Stevens and Utica facing off in the other semifinal at 8:00 p.m. Saturday's final will be at 7:00 p.m. with the winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs.

The men's team (24-1, 15-1 Empire 8), ranked ninth nationally, will take on either Nazareth or St. John Fisher at 4:00 p.m. in Saturday's second semifina (Utica plays Rochester Institute of Technology at 2:00 p.m.). The semifinal winners will meet Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with the league's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs at stake.

Ticket information will be announced by the conference office. There will be no complimentary passes accepted.
