Winter weather conditions present unique hardships for emergency prepardness and response.

Effectively managing parking, vehicular, and traffic control on campus is a critical task at any time; one that requires cooperation and support at all levels, and at all times. In an emergency, vehicle and traffic infractions pose a real threat to public safety. Subsequently, Parking and Traffic Services is asking all community members to take an active role in the safety of the Ithaca College community with regard to the following areas of concern:

  • Parking, loading or unloading in a fire lane. Flashers do not exempt you from the parking regulations.
  • Parking on grass, walkways, sidewalks, or other nondesignated parking areas or spaces. Make sure your vehicle is not causing a hazard, such as blocking or obstructing pedestrian or vehicle traffic, or parking outside of designated markings, particularly during inclement weather. If you’re not sure, don’t park there.
  • If your vehicle becomes disabled, notify the Office of Public Safety immediately.
  • To avoid parking citations, please register your vehicle with Parking and Traffic Services.

For additional information on parking regulations and driver responsibilities, please visit our website.
