The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series will conclude the 2008-9 season with a double feature screening of In God’s House: Asian American Lesbian and Gay Families in the Church and Coming Out Coming In. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Monday, April 6, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 102.

In God’s House: Asian American Lesbian and Gay Families in the Church tells the stories of three families to illuminate the experience of LGBT Christians, their parents, and clergy in Asian-American churches. Coming Out Coming In presents personal stories from dedicated Christians of all ages and many walks of life, and gives voice to gay and lesbian Christians struggling to reconcile faith with sexual orientation.

The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series is sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services.
