Doreen Hettich-Atkins, coordinator for special services and programs, and Jane Ray, human resources specialist, will be competing in the Area 10 Toastmaster Contest this Saturday, March 21. The contest takes place at 9:00 a.m. at Lifelong, 119 West Court Street, Ithaca.

Doreen will be competing in the speech evaluation contest. A test speaker will perform a five- to seven-minute speech in which Doreen will then have to provide two to three minutes of verbal evaluation.

Jane will be competing in the international speech contest. Her speech must be between five and seven minutes long and may be on a topic of her choice. Jane's speech title is "The River of Life."
