Free the Slaves and FLEFF bring you a "rockumentary" about modern-day slavery and human trafficking. The film will be screened Friday, April 3, at 7:00 p.m. at Fall Creek Pictures.

To kick of the film festival's weekend, the Ithaca College chapter of Free the Slaves and the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) have worked together to show a screening of Call and Response, "the first feature rockumentary to expose the world's 27 million most terrifying secrets."

This documentary goes undercover into the devastating and hidden world of slavery, which, believe it or not, is one of the biggest-selling industries in the world today. Working together, celebrities, political experts, and award-winning artists created this film with a purpose, not just meant to scare the audience, but to create hope -- ending slavery is possible.

Appearances in the documentary include: Cornel West, Madeleine Albright, Daryl Hannah, Julia Ormond, Ashley Judd, Nicholas Kristof, Moby, Natasha Bedingfield, Cold War Kids, Matisyahu, Imogen Heap, Talib Kweli, Five for Fighting, Switchfoot, members of Nickel Creek and Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers, and Rocco Deluca.

So, come not only to see a great documentary with awesome appearances, but to educate yourself and support a great cause. Hope to see you there!
