Denise Nuttall, of the Department of Anthropology, Participates in South Asian Conference

Denise Nuttall, assistant professor of anthropology, organized and participated in a workshop and roundtable panel, "Teaching and Performing South Asian Music and Dance in American Universities." 

The conference was titled "Teaching and Performing 'Traditional' Musics in 'Contemporary' America" and was affiliated with the Niagara Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology (SEM). The conference took place April 3-4 and was hosted by the Department of Music at Cornell University.
