Attention Students, Faculty, and Staff: Discussion on the Amethyst InitiativeContributed by Linda Koenig on 04/15/09 Please join President Thomas Rochon and the members of the Campus Life Committee for a discussion regarding the Amethyst Initiative. The Amethyst Initiative has caused national debate among college and university leaders about the legal drinking age and issues of binge drinking on campuses. During this open forum, students will present reasons for and against lowering the drinking age to 18. Audience members will be encouraged to bring their questions, comments, and concerns to the attention of all who are present.
