The last Sustainability Café of the spring 2009 series will examine the concept of "socially responsible investing." This Café will be held on Thursday, April 23, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise, room 301.

Socially responsible investing (SRI) is an investment strategy that seeks to maximize both financial return and social good by incorporating your life values into your financial life. Social investing has been around for centuries, and the modern movement continues to evolve.

How is it done? Greg Pitts (Ecolibrium Financial Planning) and Greg Garvan (Money with a Mission), members of the First Affirmative Financial Network, will discuss the various components of social investing and how you can get involved. These two local financial planning and investment management professionals specialize in this approach to investing, managing, and living your financial life. Come with your questions!
