Ithaca College receives chapter of Alpha Eta National Honor Society for the Health Professions, set to induct first class of members in spring 2010.

Recently, the school of Health Sciences and Human Performance applied for, and was awarded, a chapter of the Alpha Eta Society, an academic honorary society for allied health majors.

The purpose of the society is the promotion and recognition of significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Open to students majoring in occupational therapy, speech-language pathology and audiology, physical therapy, athletic training, and exercise science in the last year of their academic programs, and meeting certain academic and professional requirements, the chapter induct its first membership class in spring 2010.

Potential members must be inducted by a faculty member after meeting the eligibility requirements. Stay tuned for more information from your departmental representatives in next fall.
