This message is being sent to the Ithaca College Community on behalf of students Kirstie Ingmundson, Alyssa Figueroa, Yoana Turnin, and Rachel Sherard in the Introduction to Strategic Communications class (STCM 10300-02).

"We are doing research on a sustainability topic at IC for our class, Introduction to Strategic Communications. In particular, we want to learn more about whether people would prefer to have paper towels or hand dryers in all bathrooms on campus. The sooner we can get responses, the better. The survey will close on Tuesday, April 21, at 10:00 pm. If you haven't already taken this survey through the Facebook event, please follow the link below to fill it out. Your responses are much appreciated!"

I would only support the change if Dyson AirBlades were installed... They use 80% less energy than heated hand dryers, and they actually work and dry your hands unlike the standard ones in the USA.

I second that about the Dyson Airblade - I've used them in airports and they're extremely efficient. Only concerns might be that I'm not sure how loud they are, and people might drop things in them.
What about having a separate can for paper towels vs. other trash in the bathroom while the paper towels are still there? Then, couldn't we recycle them?
