At the New York State Therapeutic Recreation Association (NYSTRA) conference, Janice Elich Monroe and therapeutic recreation major Hannah Louis presented a session titled, "Utilizing Community Projects as a Recreational Therapy Intervention." Deborah Silver '04 presented on "Stress Management: The Benefits of Involvement and Breath."

Silver and Gillian Mason '06 serve as members of NYSTRA's board of directors. Bethany Humphrey '04 served on the social committee for this conference, which was held March 28-31 in Saratoga Springs.

Ithaca College also hosted an alumni reception at the conference, which was attended by 16 IC alumni. Janet Cobb '89 and Thomas Morhan '89 were the "oldest" graduates represented.

Alumni updated their peers on their current personal and employment status, enjoyed some refreshments, and participated in drawing for door prizes. The event was enjoyed by all.
