Hiring Process Changes: Most Paper Forms No Longer Accepted as of April 13Contributed by Michelle Rios-Dominguez on 04/17/09 Please note the following changes to the search and selection process, which were effective Monday, April 13, 2009. As of Monday, April 13, 2009, paper Authorization for Recruitment forms, Search and Selection Plans, Recommendation for Hiring forms, and Notice of Acceptance/Declination forms will no longer be accepted. To conduct a search to fill a vacant or new position, an online Recruitment Request must be completed in lieu of the Authorization for Recruitment. The information previously obtained via the Search and Selection Plan, Recommendation for Hiring, and Notice of Acceptance/Declination forms will now be entered directly into the online employment system. Changes have also been made to the review and interview selection process. PLEASE NOTE: The Waiver to Posting will continue to be accepted in paper form ONLY. These changes are in direct response to useful feedback provided by the campus community regarding ways to improve the speed and efficiency of the current hiring process. The Office of the Associate Counsel and Equal Opportunity Compliance and the Office of Human Resources have been working together to enhance the online employment system (www.icjobs.org) to support the requested improvements. Staff from the Office of Human Resources will provide a general overview and demonstration of these changes aimed at helping to familiarize our campus with the new process. Below is a schedule of these information sessions; it is not necessary to register in advance.
If you are currently in the process of conducting a search and have questions about changes to the process, please contact the recruitment staff at 607-274-1207 or employment@ithaca.edu. |
