Nancy Rader presented two research papers, one co-authored by psychology alumnus Albert Sahlstrom '06, at the recent biennial convention of the Society for Research in Child Development in Denver.

Sahlstrom was lead author of one paper, "Measuring Speech-Gesture Synchrony in Mother-to-Infant Interactions." He is currently a law student at Harvard University.

The second paper, "The Effect of Synchronous Dynamic Gestures on Infant Looking and Word Learning," is based on Rader's research, which is funded by the National Science Foundation.
