Ithaca College

Cathrene Connery, assistant professor of education, was the chair of "The Social Construction of CHAT: An Intergenerational Conversation among International Perspectives" (September 2008) with the International Society of Cultural Activity Research, International Congress, San Diego, California. Also present were panelists Michael Cole, Vera John-Steiner, Valdimir Zinchenko, Anna Stetsenko, and Uri Engestrom.

Professor Connery also provided service as a professional development consultant at the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol Intensive Workshop, Ithaca City School District (August–December 2008). She conducted an intensive workshop for in-service teachers of English-language learners for the Ithaca City School District's Professional Development Office consisting of an all-day session, followed by four subsequent 90-minute classes.
