Register for the Water for Sudan 5K Run/Walk This Saturday, April 25!Contributed by Adam Polaski on 04/23/09
Students, faculty and community members can pre-register for $5 from 10am until 2pm in Textor and from 2pm until 5pm in the fitness center. Race-day registration costs $7 and occurs outside of Butterfield Stadium on Saturday at 10am. The 5K stretches all across campus but begins outside Butterfield Stadium, and starts promptly at 10:30am, so participants are asked to arrive at 10:00am. Prizes will be offered for first place, and refreshments will be served after the race. 100% of the profits from the event will go towards Water for Sudan's year-long goal of raising $5,000, the cost of sponsoring a well for a village in Sudan, where potable water is severely limited. This Saturday, April 25, Water for Sudan, Ithaca College's chapter of the international service organization that seeks to raise money to sponsor fresh water wells in Sudan, will hold a 5K Run/Walk. Pre-registration will be held until Friday afternoon, and race-day registration begins at 10am.
