Representatives from Professor Cory Young's Government and Stakeholder Relations Class presented at the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Conference on Undergraduate Research earlier this month.

Their research paper, titled "Corporate Evolution and the Capitalist Dilemma: A Critical Paradigm for CSR," won best paper at the conference. Kristina Roth, P.J. Scott, and Lauren Sirkey were on hand to accept the award for their class.

The students are currently working on a manuscript for the Journal of Business Ethics on corporate social responsibility. The class translated the process of writing the manuscript into the poster that was presented.

Other Park students who presented at the RIT conference included:

  • Erin Schaffner, Josh Steiner, and Mykal Urbina for their paper, "Agenda Setting in College Newspapers"
  • Matt Murphy, Kate Milburn, and Laura Swanson, for their paper, "Second Love: Dating Culture in Second Life"
  • Nicole Krestos, for her paper, "The Dual Nature of Virtual World Environments: An Examination of Second Life"
  • Stephanie Torres and Frieda Becker, for their paper, "Second Life: Communicating Within a Virtual World"
