John Fracchia Screens Films at National Dance Association Film FestivalContributed by Cheryl Kramer on 04/30/09 John Fracchia's films were selected for the first annual film festival of the National Dance Association at its annual conference in Tampa, Florida on April 2, 2009. He screened Danse Enchantée, Celestial Somesthesis, and Outside-In(finite) -- the latter two of which were also shown at the Handwerker Gallery in January as part of the "Thursdays at the Handwerker" series. Fracchia is the associate director of the Office of Career Services, a lecturer in the School of Business, and a member of the Ithaca College Board of Trustees. He is a graduate of the Binghamton University cinema department, where he studied with avant-garde filmmakers such as Ken Jacobs and Larry Gottheim. His works can be viewed online at: |
