During Summer Session I you can learn about Native cultures and visit local Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Nations and work at a Cayuga archaeological dig!

Brooke Hansen is offering North American Indians (ANTH 27000-11, crn 10125) Session I (May 29-June 29) which will include an exploration of history, Native identity (who is Indian?), media representations and stereotypes, mascots, the boarding school era and its aftermath, and current issues of sovereignty, gaming, cigarette sales, and more!

We will visit local Haudenosaunee nations and participate in a Cayuga archaeological dig which is producing evidence that will re-write the history books.
