Volunteers Needed for IC Lecture Series at LongviewContributed by Christine Pogorzala on 05/06/09 Ten years and still going strong! The Ithaca College Lecture Series, which began in spring 1999, is an integral part of IC's partnership with Longview, a retirement community located on Danby Road. Volunteer speakers are currently needed for June and August. The topics for these informal presentations can be academic in nature, related to areas of personal interest or travel experiences. Poetry readings, slide shows, films, and music, dance, and dramatic performances are also welcome. An appreciative audience is guaranteed! These talks are generally held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Longview auditorium. The open dates are June 3 or June 24, and August 5 or August 19. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Christine Pogorzala at 274-1051 or pogorzal@ithaca.edu.
