Phoebe Constantinou, assistant professor, Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education, recently published an article entitled, "Tips for Using the New Physical Activity Guidelines in Effective Advocacy" in the peer-reviewed journal, Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators (volume 22, number 5, pages 37-38).

The manuscript highlights the kind of information the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans provide, how specific these guidelines are for each individual, and how easily accessible they are.

Furthermore, it provides strategies as to how the new federal guidelines for physical activity can be used for effective advocacy efforts.
