Professor Stephen Clancy, chair of the Department of Art History, has been awarded a visiting fellowship grant for spring 2010 in the Research School of Humanities (RSH) at the Australian National University in Canberra.

During a 12-week period in residence in Canberra beginning in March 2010, Stephen will conduct research on a project entitled "Visualizing the Self and Others: Muslims, Jews, and Christians in Medieval Iberia," as part of the RSH's 2010 annual theme of "Imaging Identity."

He will also undertake collaborative work with members of the RSH academic staff, meet regularly with other visiting fellows, and make a public presentation of his research.
