At its May meeting, the Ithaca College Board of Trustees granted promotions from associate to full professor to Srijana Maskey Bajracharya, Alka Bramhandkar, Nancy Cornwell, Craig Cummings, Katharine Kittredge, Janice Levy, and Thomas Swensen; tenure and promotion from assistant to associate professor to Anna Larsen; and promotion from assistant to associate professor to Karen Edwards.

Barjracharya has been teaching in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education since 2002. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, and Ph.D.s from both Auburn University and Southern Illinois University.

Bramhandkar joined the School of Business in 1984. She earned her B.S. at the University of Bombay, India, and her M.A., M.B.A., and Ph.D. at the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Cornwell joined the Department of Television-Radio in 2008. Her B.S. is from St. Lawrence University, M.A. from Syracuse University, and Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Cummings has been teaching in the Department of Music Theory, History, and Composition since 1989. He earned his B.M.E., M.M., and Ph.D. degrees at Indiana University.

Kittredge joined the Department of English in 1990. She earned her B.A. degree at Hamilton College and M.A. and Ph.D. at the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Levy joined the Department of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts in 1987. She earned her B.A. at Washington University and M.F.A. at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Swensen has been teaching in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences since 1995.  He earned his B.A. at Vanderbilt University and M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.

Larsen joined the Department of Chemistry in 2003. Her B.S. and M.S. are from Moscow State University, Russia, and her Ph.D. was earned at Utah State University.

Edwards joined the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education in 1996. She earned her B.A. at Brandeis University and her M.H.A. and Ph.D. at Cornell University.
