For those of you who like to plan ahead, here are the dates for campus events in fall 2009 that will bring large groups of alumni and parents to campus. In addition, since there has been a significant change to the traditional Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Weekend activities, we hope to clear up any confusion these changes may have caused.
This fall will mark the first time Ithaca College will host a combined Alumni and Homecoming Weekend, on October 8-11, 2009, and we welcome all alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students to join us. Many of the traditional Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Weekend activities will still be included in the new schedule, and we have also added an academic component to the weekend’s events. While the final schedule is currently in production, if you have events scheduled during the weekend, please contact Brenda Carlisle, events coordinator for alumni relations, at bcarlisle@ithaca.edu so that we can include information about your events as well. Family Weekend will maintain a schedule very similar to that in past years with family members beginning to arrive around lunchtime on Friday, November 6, and departing late afternoon on Sunday, November 8. Last year's schedule can be found at www.ithaca.edu/familyweekend. The schedule for Family Weekend 2009 will be posted to that same website by early September.
