"Spectacle Spectacular" features drawings and paintings by artist Dawn Hunter, whose witty and provocative exploration of the relationship between popular culture and gendered identity has garnered national acclaim.

An illustrated catalog accompanying the exhibition will be published in September. There will also be an artist's talk with Dawn Hunter on September 30 at 4:30 p.m.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, September 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and the work will remain on display until October 11.

All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public. The gallery is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and weekends from noon to 5 p.m. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesdays, but can accommodate group or class visits by appointment.
