The Caregiver Support Group will meet Noon - 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18 in the Gerontology Resource Room (413 CHS). This group, sponsored by the Gerontology Institute and the Office of Human Resources, is open to IC faculty and staff members who are helping ill, disabled or frail family members or friends. Over the years caregivers in a wide range of situations have attended, and appreciated, the IC Caregiver Group meetings. Some have provided care for a frail older parent or a very sick child in the caregiver's home. Many others have struggled with the challenges of coordinating services and providing support from a distance. All are welcome. Feel free to bring your lunch to the meeting. Beverages and a sweet treat will be provided. |
