Operation Wallacea will be presenting on scientific conservation projects in the tropics

Open to all students, faculty, and staff.

Come to their presentation if you are at all interested in:

  • trekking through the rainforests of Indonesia,
  • spotting Tapir poo in Honduras,
  • sailing down the Amazon spotting pink river dolphins in Peru,
  • assisting with the manatee projects in Cuba,
  • diving with 30m visibility in the red sea, Egypt,
  • helping to collect data to establish a new Nation Park in Madagascar,
  • or tracking elephants in South Africa. 

In 2010 they are adding an expedition to Madagascar.  They have a huge range of research positions, thesis projects and course credit options available (see www.opwall.com) for summer 2010. 

Operation Wallacea was established in 1995 SE Sulawesi, Indonesia.  Along with their continued work in Indonesia , they have since set up and managed projects for university volunteers and research assistants in: Honduras, Cuba, Peru, South Africa, Mozambique and Egypt.
