The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series will host a free public screening of the documentary, A Closer Walk, on Tuesday, December 1. The 7:00 p.m. showing in Textor 101 is being held in observance of World AIDS Day.

A Closer Walk depicts humankind's confrontation with the global AIDS epidemic, with profiles in Uganda, South Africa, Haiti, Switzerland, India, Nepal, Ukraine, and Cambodia.

Sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services, the film series this year will explore LGBT lives and stories from around the world. Additional screenings will take place during the spring. All are free and open to the public.
