Susan Allen-Gil (Environmental Studies), Susan Swensen (Biology), and Marian Brown (Assistant to the Provost) hosted a panel at the recent Greening of the Campus Conference in Indianapolis. Their panel, titled SUSTAINABILITY AS AN ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE: DEGREE PROGRAMS, invited presenters from seven universities and colleges that currently offer degree programs to share their programs and experiences.

The interdisciplinary conference is a partnership between Ball State University and AASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.  The conference allows people representing diverse areas in university communities to share information on environmental issues ranging from the practical day-to-day management of the physical plant to "green" curriculum development and "green" utilization of campus resources.
