In keeping with Town of Ithaca regulations and to assist emergency response agencies, from our area, Ithaca College has formally named all roadways on campus and numbered each building. Street signs were recently installed and the building numbering should be completed in the near future. The roadway names reflect Ithaca College's rich history and were selected by the college in consultation with representatives from the Town of Ithaca. A list of addresses for all buildings can be found on the Facilities website at www.ithaca.edu/facilities. It is important to note that these street addresses will not be used for mailing address purposes. You should continue to utilize the standard method for addressing incoming mail to the campus. That information can be found at www.ithaca.edu/mailservices/addressingmail. Thank you

It was certainly nice of "the college" to consult with representatives of "the town
of Ithaca" in naming our streets. In this age of brand sensitivity, it would have been a better idea to consult faculty. A school of music is not the same as a conservatory of music. Accurately portraying today's Ithaca College is more important than acknowledging our "rich" history. Thankfully, Astrology Circle was not chosen for a road near the Natural Science building. |

choosing the design for the signs. "Conservatory Lane" is a particularly unhappy
choice. Also, the signs for "Tower View" and "Conservatory Lane" at the Y in the
road leading up to lot T and the Towers are reversed.
