Professor James Pfrehm, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures gave two presentations on the use of technology in the classroom at the University of Virginia on October 23-24.

Professor Pfrehm gave a talk entitled "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Web? -- An Overview of the Latest Web 2.0 Resources for the Foreign Language Classroom", which discussed which resources are conducive to the needs of foreign language instructors for teaching both language and content. He also conducted a workshop entitled "Podcasting 101: Use, Creation, and Management", which provided participants with hands-on instruction in using, creating, and managing podcasts for use in their current courses.
