A paper submitted by Ali Erkan (Computer Science), Jason Hamilton (Environmental Studies and Science), Tom Pfaff (Mathematics), and Michael Rogers (Physics) has been accepted for publication at the ACM Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education Conference (SIGCSE 2010).

The paper focuses on the Computer Science footprint of an NSF funded multi-disciplinary project and outlines the way in which sustainability related and image/data based problems can be used to teach core concepts in courses such as Introduction to Computation, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
