As part of its emergency planning responsibilities, the Ithaca College Core Emergency Response Team (CERT) has developed a Pandemic Flu Plan. Though finalized during the current H1N1 flu pandemic, the plan is intended to help guide the college’s response to any pandemic situation. It can be read online at www.ithaca.edu/flu_plan.

The plan includes background information on pandemic flu, an overview of the college’s goals and objectives in responding to a pandemic, and the specific roles and responsibilities of individuals and operating units within the college. We hope that members of the campus community will read through the plan in order to have a better understanding of how the college will respond in an emergency situation in order to help reduce illness, save lives, and maintain essential operations.

This also provides a good opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to review other material found on the Emergency Response Plan website (www.ithaca.edu/emergency) and to sign up for the Emergency Notification System (ENS).
