Fourth Language Lab presented by the Computer Science ClubContributed by Erich Schudt on 11/10/09
The Computer Science Club will continue its language lab series in web languages with forms, cookies and strings. Date: Wednesday the 11th of November Location: Williams 309 Time: 7pm - 9pm. This Wednesday's session will cover:
Forms allows a user to enter data that is sent to a server for processing. A cookie is a small piece of text stored on a computer by a browser. Learn these to get input from users and work with a user's preference. Classes are free and open to the public. There will be no books, assignments, tests, quizzes, or fees. We will start the process like most tutorials, explaining and demonstrating each element. But unlike normal tutorials, we will end with building a full page from start to finish, as complicated as you want. You should leave with a great understanding of code and a working webpage designed to your specs. Experience the excitement of this language lab and learn languages that are fun to play with and on demand in industries! |
