The Bombers were selected as one of 16 at-large teams for competition at Saturday's NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships. The Bombers have qualified for nationals 19 times, including every season since 2000. The team's run of 10 straight appearances at nationals is the longest such streak in program history. The 2009 national championship will be held at Baldwin-Wallace.

Ithaca placed fourth at Saturday's Atlantic Regional Championship to earn consideration as an at-large team. With 163 points, the Bombers were just 25 behind third-place New York University. Freshman Jenn Randall (Cincinnatus/Cincinnatus) was the team's top finisher, placing sixth overall. She was the field's top rookie performer.

Saturday's race is set to begin at 11 a.m.
