Weekend Workshop Intensive with Industry Professionals

December 5 & 6, 10am-5pm

 

Network with Professionals who have their Pulse on the New York Theatre Scene!


The workshop will end in an audition for instructors Stephanie Yankwitt & Peter Flynn

 who are currently casting projects locally & in New York.

 

About the Instructors:

Stephanie Yankwitt is a Manhattan-based Casting Director for films and Broadway productions, including Across the Universe, Dan In Real Life, and Rent.

She is also a professor of Theatre at New York University.

 

Peter Flynn is the Artistic Director of the Hangar Theatre as well as an award-winning Manhattan-based director with credits that include directing the Broadway concerts of Funny Girl with Whoopi Goldberg and Idina Menzel, and Chess with Josh Groban & Julia Murney. He has taught similar classes at both New York & Yale Universities.

 

About the Workshop:

This workshop was born out of the request from students at NYU/Adler Conservatory to have more information/experience prior to graduation. This is a concentrated version of that NYU class developed & taught by Peter and Stephanie….You’ve got the talent, now learn how to market yourself to get the job:

·       Choose audition material

·       Perfect your monologue and song

·       Prepare for cold readings

·       Present yourself as a professional

·       Work with Casting Directors & Agents
