Speech-Language Pathology Faculty and Students Present At National ConventionContributed by Julie Chambers on 12/11/09 Three faculty members from the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology gave presentations at the annual convention of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association that was held in November in New Orleans.
Marie Sanford, Clinical Associate Professor's poster session, "Outcomes of CEPAR: A Speech-Reading Matrix for the Older Adult" provided data of a successful teaching matrix for participants in one of the SLPA sites (LifeLong Learning Center, Ithaca, NY). She persented with two graduate SLP students [Karen Thorp, '10 and Courtney Prozzo, '10). Mary Pitti, Clinical Assistant Professor, Elizabeth Begley, former Ithaca College Clinical Associate Professor, and graduate student Emily Sugarman (2010)'s presentation, "Dysphagia & AAC: Let’s Eat" provided clinicians with information needed to
