The tenth annual observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is Sunday, February 7. National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD) is a national effort to increase awareness, participation, and support for HIV education, prevention, care, and treatment among African-American people.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is directed, planned, and organized by a group of national organizations in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The observance is designed to encourage African Americans across the United States to "get educated, get tested, get involved, and get treated." The initiative also seeks to increase reporting of accurate, up-to-date statistics on the HIV/AIDS epidemic among African-American people by electronic and print media.
