The members of the First-Year Experience Coordinating Committee, once again, would like to invite all first-year students to attend a series of events designed to highlight the wonderful speakers, films, athletics and performances that happen on our campus all year long! After a successful fall semester of featured events, here are the First-Year Experience featured events that will be occurring in January and early February: Wednesday, January 27 @ 7pm “Rainbow’s End” Film by LGBT Center Textor 103 At each and every event that you attend, you have the chance to register to win either a television of your choice or a night out for dinner with friends, both prizes valued up to $300!! Here’s how you can do that! If you are a first-year student, simply go to the FYE table at each event, which should be located near the entrance, and fill out a raffle ticket to register. That’s it!! It’s THAT easy! You can only register once at each event, but you can register at every event you attend. We will draw the winning students name at the end of the semester. At the end of the fall semester, we had one lucky student win a Dell 10v mini Netbook! You could be our spring semester winner!! This is just the beginning of our line-up of featured events for the spring! Make sure you keep a close eye out throughout the semester for additional featured events, therefore, additional chances to win your choice of either prize valued up to $300!! Enjoy! If you have any questions at all about any of the information outlined here, please contact Joelle Albertsman in the First-Year Experience office at 274-3215 or email at jalbertsman@ithaca.edu. *Please note that there will not be an FYE table at this event. If you participate at the MLK Day of Service event on January 30th, your name will automatically be submitted into the raffle from your registration. |
