Physical Therapy sophomore competes in fundraiser marathon for St. Jude's Hospital.Contributed by Linda Uhll on 02/02/10 On January 10, 2010, Sophomore Physical Therapy student Tim Reynolds competed in the Walt Disney World Marathon held in Orlando, Florida. Reynolds was one of 17,000 participants who ran in the 26.2 mile race that takes runners through the various theme parks of Disney World (from Epcot, to Magic Kingdom, followed by Animal Kingdom, then to Hollywood Studios, and back to Epcot for the finish). Reynolds, the Executive Director of the student organization Up 'til Dawn, was able to raise $650 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital while participating in the marathon. Tim came in 372 out of the 16,929 runners that finished the race, and posted a time of 3 hours 24 minutes. He has been fundraising for St. Judes over the last six years, and has helped raise over $65,000 for the children's cancer hospital. If you are interested in becoming a part of the organization, Up 'til Dawn, to help the kids at St. Judes, please contact Tim at ithaca.uptildawn@gmail.com |
