Have you ever personally dealt with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or any number of other mental health issues? Has the experience of a friend or loved one dealing with mental health issues affected you personally? Want to speak out about it and help raise awareness for mental health issues on college campuses? Now’s your chance!
Ithaca College’s chapter of Active Minds, an organization dedicated to mental health awareness, advocacy, and education focused on eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health and counseling on college campuses, is proud to introduce the Speak Your Mind (SYM) Panel Program! We are currently seeking students with personal experiences with mental illness to become part of a program that will reach out to students, faculty, and staff in residence halls, classrooms, and beyond!
If you are interested in participating in these panels, would like to request a panel, or have any questions, please contact Joe Fraioli at Jfraiol1@ithaca.edu with the subject “SYM Panel” in the title.
Our first training meeting will be this Tuesday, February 9th at 7:00. We will meet in the Williams Lobby.
We look forward to seeing you there!
