Leigh Hurst, ’92, founder of the "Feel Your Boobies" campaign, will be holding a discussion on Thursday, February 18 at 7:30 pm in Textor 101.

"Feel Your Boobies" is a breast cancer non-profit organization and international campaign focused on spreading this life saving message to young women using unexpected and unconventional methods. Hurst will review the campaign from an academic perspective related to the use of media for motivational and educational purposes. The ever-important role of social media will be highlighted, as well as other guiding principles of the campaign.

Hurst, a breast cancer survivor, founded the campaign in 2004. She received her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College, and went on to earn two Master’s degrees (Florida State & Northwestern University) in the areas of Learning Sciences & Simulation Technologies.

The lecture is sponsored by the Department of Strategic Communication.
