Environmental Art Competition DEADLINE EXTENDED to February 16Contributed by Carol Hansen on 02/10/10
The competition centers on using the Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) design approach to creating waste-free systems for design and creation of a sculptural installation that will be unveiled on Earth Day. Students are encouraged to form “design teams” to collaborate on design, concept and – for the winners – fabrication, so any students interested in merging arts and the environment are welcome to collaborate in the process. The team that submits the winning design will share a $1000 Student Environmental Art Award and have access up to $500 to implement their installation. Student team proposals should be sent to sswensen@ithaca.edu by February 11, 2010. Enter “C2C SEAA application” as the email subject.
