Caribbean Students' Association Hosts a Haiti Teach-In on WEDNESDAY 24th in Clark Lounge. How About I Take Initiative?

By now most, if not all of you, would have heard of the earthquake in Haiti on Tuesday 12th Jan. There also have been many different organizations both on and off campus that has been raising funds to support Haiti. However, in an effort to make more individuals aware of what is happening in Haiti at this point and also in the past, the Caribbean Students Association (CSA) sees it fit to start off with a teach-in session on  WEDNESDAY, FEBURARY 24, at 7pm in Clark Lounge. This teach - in will serve as a common place to discuss:

  • The History of Haiti
  • Myths and misstatements that have been circulating
  • Media Representation of Haiti
  • What can we do to help? (How About I Take Initiative?)

This is just the preliminary efforts of CSA as we move forward towards greater endeavors in an effort to raise funds for Haiti.

Thank you for your support! It is critical in this hour of Haiti’s need.

-The Caribbean Students Association Executive Board
