Paula Twomey, DMLL Spanish teacher, has published Let’s Write in Italian: 25 Guided Essays, with Applause Learning Resources. The text was translated from Spanish to Italian by IC professor Silvia M. Abbiati. The book is a series of 25 essay topics, suggesting vocabulary, grammar, structures and the use of the five major verb tenses from the present, past, imperfect, future and conditional. This is the 6th collaboration of Twomey/Abbiati, including It’s Your Turn to Learn Italian (Level 1), Riflessioni: 35 Guided Essays in Italian; 25 Directed Dialogs in Italian, 10 Fairy Tales in Italian, and It’s your Turn to Learn Italian...Again (level 11). In addition, Twomey has recently published Ecrivons!: 25 Guided Essays in French (intermediate level) with Teacher’s Discovery. This French text is a translation of the Spanish into French, and also provides grammar, structures, vocabulary and a variety of verb tenses to reinforce French composition writing.
