The School of Music will send nine pianists to perform in the Chopin 200 Festival in New York City, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Polish composer Frederic Chopin. Our students' performance will take place on Wednesday, March 3, at 5pm, in the Tower One area of the Winter Garden Atrium, part of the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan.    

The Festival runs March 1-5, with live performances of Chopin's piano music performed all day on five pianos spaced throughout the Winter Garden Atrium. Each evening concludes with a recital performed by an internationally renowned pianist.

School of Music pianists attending are Sean Cotty, Jean Elder, Sarah Fears, Michael Gaertner, Scott Gentile, Matthew Holehan, Natalie Khatibzadeh, Elizabeth Leger, and Kelly McKee.
