Faculty and staff presentations on many aspects of multicultural curriculum and inclusive pedagogy will highlight the first day of the annual Faculty Institute, Tuesday, May 25, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm in the Clark Lounge. Submit a preliminary proposal as you register for the March 12 workshop!

Our Ithaca Faculty Commons model features sharing the resources we have in a scholarly fashion, and these two linked events exemplify that. At the May Institute faculty will present results of discussions and explorations that begin at the March 12 workshop with Carlos Cortes. It is from 1-4 in Taughannock; lunch at noon.

Your registration identifies a topic you want to explore at the workshop, collaborate on with others, and present in May. Can't attend the March workshop? Participate online!

Possible topics could be in areas such as:

  • Teaching-oriented topics like inclusive course design or addressing race in class
  • Leadership topics like effective searches or supporting new faculty
  • Scholarly topics like addressing a campus concern through a scholarly product or assembling resources for online engagement of our entire faculty.

More information is at the Center for Faculty Excellence activities page.
