Are you proud of your dorm room setup? Is your room a model of clever organization? Have you made creative use of limited space? Does it have a design theme worthy of an HGTV show?

The student editors of Fuse magazine are looking for several fun, funky, and functional dorm rooms to feature in an upcoming issue. We’re looking for the hottest rooms on campus. Show us the most colorful, the most organized, the most contrasting rooms! If you think your room is the bomb, let us know! If you're willing to share your decorating secrets with prospective students, send an e-mail to lmaresca@ithaca.edu ASAP with

  1. your name (and the names of your roommates)
  2. your campus address
  3. your preferred phone number
  4. room type (single, double, triple, apartment)
  5. a digital photo (or two) of your sweet setup and the category to be entered into

We will award prizes to the top 3 rooms: 1st place will receive a $100 gift card to Wegmans; 2nd place will receive a $50 gift card to Target; and there will be a drawing from the remaining entries for the 3rd place winner to receive a $25 gift card to campusfood.com.

The deadline for entries is April 2. Don't miss this chance to be featured in an issue of Fuse and to win cool prizes!

The fine print:

  • Only on-campus housing is eligible; this includes the Circle and Garden apartments.
  • We're looking for a mix of men's and women's rooms. (Guys, don't be shy. We know you have style too!)
  • Your room design must not violate any residential life rules or regulations.
  • No naughty bits -- if you wouldn't want your grandma or campus safety to see it, we can't feature it.
  • You and your room must be available for a photo shoot before the end of April.
