Ithaca College

Sarah Gates will be leaving Ithaca College to begin a position as Health Project Coordinator for the University of Rochester, Department of General Pediatrics.

As Assistant Director of Admission, Sarah has been responsible for the selection, orientation, and supervision of our part-time admission counselors, and she has served as our liaison with Intercollegiate Athletics.  Since 2005, Sarah’s exemplary work ethic, keen analytical skills, creative contributions to the admission team, and devotion to students and colleagues have contributed immeasurably to the College’s enrollment efforts.  We will miss her very much.

Sarah received her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College in Psychology in 2001, and went on to earn her M.S. from Penn State in kinesiology.  She returned to Ithaca College in 2003 to pursue her M.S. in Sports Psychology which she completed in December of 2008.  Beginning in the spring of 2003, she was a guest lecturer for Exercise and Sport Sciences for three semesters.

Members of the Ithaca College community are invited to join us on Friday, March 12 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm in the admission reception area of the Peggy Ryan Williams Center to congratulate Sarah Gates on her new opportunity and wish her farewell.
