The women's track & field team will have three athletes in action at the NCAA Championships: junior Marcia McCord in the long jump, triple jump and 400-meter dash, sophomore Emma Dewart in the high jump and pentathlon and graduate student Lauren Koppel in the pentathlon. DePauw will host the meet Friday and Saturday.

McCord will be making her fifth trip to nationals. During her freshman year, she competed in the 400-meter dash during the indoor and outdoor seasons, as well as the 300-meter dash in the spring. She picked up all-America honors by placing fifth in the 400 during the outdoor season. McCord returned to the NCAA Championships during both seasons last year. Indoors she competed in the triple jump and 400. She earned all-America honors in the 200 and 400 outdoors, while also competing in the long jump.

Dewart became Ithaca's first pentathlon all-American when she placed seventh at the NCAA Championships as a freshman. She competed in both the heptathlon and high jump at the outdoor championships.

Koppel will make her first appearance at nationals since she competeted in the heptathlon at the 2006 outdoor meet.
